These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Youniq mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"), operated by Youniq, Inc. ("Youniq", "we", "our", or "us"). By creating an account or using the Platform you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to create a Youniq account. If you are under 18, you may only use the Platform with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
Some events listed on the Platform may have their own age restrictions (for example, 18+ events). It is your responsibility to confirm you meet those requirements before booking. Youniq is not liable for bookings made for age-restricted events by ineligible attendees.
By using the Platform you represent that all information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
2. Accounts
You may register using an email address and password or via a supported third-party provider (Google, Apple, or Facebook). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You may not share your account, impersonate another person, or create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions. Youniq reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. The Platform
Youniq is a marketplace connecting wellness event seekers ("Participants") with wellness event creators ("Organizers"). Youniq facilitates discovery, booking, and communication — it does not host, organise, or take responsibility for events itself.
Youniq does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of any event listed on the Platform. Participants attend events at their own risk.
4. Payments & Fees
Ticket Pricing
All events on Youniq have a minimum ticket price. There are no free events. Ticket prices are set by Organizers and displayed in the currency specified on each event listing.
Platform Fee
Youniq charges a platform service fee of 10% of the ticket subtotal on every booking. This fee is included in the total price shown to you at checkout — there are no hidden charges. Additionally, a payment processing fee charged by our payment provider (Stripe) is incorporated into the final total.
Payment Processing
Payments are processed securely by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. By completing a purchase you also agree to Stripe's Consumer Terms. Youniq does not store your full card details on its servers.
You may save a payment method to your account for faster future checkouts. Saved cards are stored securely by Stripe and can be removed at any time from Settings → Payment Methods.
Organizer Payouts
Organizers receive their earnings via Stripe Connect. Youniq transfers the ticket subtotal minus the platform fee to the Organizer's connected bank account according to the applicable payout schedule. Organizers must complete Stripe's identity verification process before payouts can be disbursed.
Youniq Wallet
Youniq may credit your account with a wallet balance (e.g. from refunds or promotional credits). Wallet balances can be applied toward future bookings on the Platform and are non-transferable and have no cash value unless required by applicable law.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
Pending Bookings (Approval Required Events)
Some events require the Organizer's approval before a booking is confirmed. Your payment is authorised but not captured until approval. If you withdraw your request before approval, or if the Organizer declines, the authorisation is released immediately and any wallet amount used is refunded to your Youniq Wallet.
Confirmed Bookings — Cancelled by Organizer
If an Organizer cancels a confirmed event, all confirmed Participants receive a full automatic refund to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. Any Youniq Wallet balance used is refunded to your Wallet immediately. You will receive an email notification confirming the cancellation and refund.
Confirmed Bookings — Cancelled by Participant
Refund eligibility for Participant-initiated cancellations is determined by the cancellation policy set by the Organizer on each event. This policy is displayed on the event detail page before you complete your purchase. Youniq honours the Organizer's stated policy. If no policy is specified, bookings are non-refundable once confirmed.
Rebooking
If an event allows rebooking (as stated on the event page), you may transfer your confirmed booking to a future occurrence of the same event, subject to availability and the Organizer's rebooking terms.

6. Organizer Responsibilities
By listing an event on Youniq, Organizers agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date event information including date, time, location, price, and any age or health requirements.
- Deliver the event as described. Material changes (date, venue, content) must be communicated to Participants promptly via the Platform.
- Comply with all applicable local laws, permits, health and safety regulations, and any age-restriction requirements relevant to their event.
- Not list events that are illegal, discriminatory, misleading, or that violate Youniq's content policies.
- Issue refunds or honour cancellation policies as stated on their event listing and as required by these Terms.
Youniq reserves the right to remove any event listing and suspend any Organizer account that fails to meet these standards.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent event listings or reviews.
- Harass, abuse, threaten, or discriminate against other users.
- Attempt to circumvent payment processing, booking fees, or security measures.
- Scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Platform's technical infrastructure.
- Use automated bots or scripts to access the Platform without our prior written consent.
- Resell tickets purchased on Youniq at a markup without Organizer authorisation.
Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination.
8. User Content
You retain ownership of content you submit to Youniq (event descriptions, photos, messages, etc.). By submitting content you grant Youniq a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform.
You are solely responsible for the content you post. Youniq does not endorse user-submitted content and may remove content that violates these Terms or our community guidelines.
9. Intellectual Property
All Platform technology, branding, design, and original content created by Youniq is the exclusive property of Youniq, Inc. and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Youniq does not warrant that the Platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
Youniq acts solely as an intermediary between Participants and Organizers. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of events, the accuracy of listings, or the conduct of Organizers or Participants.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Youniq's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to Youniq in the twelve months preceding the claim.
In no event shall Youniq be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
11. Termination & Suspension
You may close your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account in the app. Youniq may suspend or terminate your account immediately and without notice if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if required by law.
Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive (including payment obligations, intellectual property, disclaimers, and dispute resolution) will continue to apply.
12. Dispute Resolution
We encourage you to contact us first at info@youniq.app for any dispute. We will make a good-faith effort to resolve concerns promptly.
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the jurisdiction in which Youniq, Inc. is registered.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Account & Data Deletion
You have the right to request the deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time.
Method 1: Inside the App
- Open the Youniq app and log in.
- Navigate to the Profile tab.
- Tap the settings icon.
- Scroll down and select Delete Account.
- Confirm your request. Your account and data will be permanently removed.
Method 2: Via Email
Email info@youniq.app from the address associated with your Youniq account, or use the support form and select "Account & Data Deletion Request".
What Is Deleted
- Profile details (name, bio, photo)
- Contact information (email, phone)
- Saved events, preferences, and social connections
- Messaging history within the app
What Is Retained
For legal, tax, and accounting compliance, the following data is retained after account deletion:
- Payment and transaction records — retained for up to 7 years via our payment processor (Stripe) to meet financial and tax regulations.
- Anonymised security logs — retained temporarily to maintain platform integrity.
